About the product:
FAMS is a comprehensive solution to track and manage the Fixed Assets of an
enterprise. Fixed asset management system is designed to help organizations to
manage their assets more efficiently and effectively. It facilitates the
organization to maintain accurate, adequate, reliable and timely data. Assets
could be tracked under five hierarchical levels in addition to location wise
tracking. Features include provisions for acquisition by various modes,
maintenance of service history of assets, leasing, transfer, split, sale and
revaluation of assets, Depreciation Accounting, Bar Coding including labeling
and scanning and Asset Budget maintenance.
The need for the product:
Fixed Assets constitute long term investments and form the backbone of an
organization. It is, therefore, imperative that these assets are tracked,
insured and managed effectively. Further these assets may be distributed at
various locations of the organization – factories, warehouses, offices, etc.,
and to manage these assets, an integrated computerized solution will be
extremely useful. To keep pace with changes in technology it would be necessary
to barcode the identification details for easy and accurate scanning and
verification.
