Geographic Information System
Geographic information systems, or GIS, is an information
technology system capable of assembling, storing, manipulating and displaying geographically
referenced data and integrating this data with geo-referenced maps. GIS technology
has primarily to date been used by the government and research sectors in such fields
as earth sciences, remote sensing and urban planning, but is increasingly being
used for commercial applications, such as mapping existing and potential clients,
assigning sales territories, locating sites for manufacturing or distribution facilities
and performing competitive analyses. We provide turnkey GIS services to our clients
in such areas as urban planning, natural resource management, environmental sciences,
hydrological applications, civil engineering, transportation and highway engineering,
logistics management, remote sensing and business management.
